BUYER'S GUIDE

Choosing the right option for your space.

Compare the key considerations before choosing your heater, from output and positioning to controls and installation.

UNDER DESK HEATING

Choose the 210W under-desk panel for radiant warmth directed towards your legs and feet. It mounts beneath a suitable wooden desk with the heating surface facing down. Check the installation requirements and available clearances before choosing your position.

DESKTOP HEATING

Choose the 90W desktop heater for a compact, freestanding heating option positioned on a suitable desktop. Check the individual product instructions for positioning and safe-use requirements.

PERSONAL, SUPPLEMENTARY WARMTH

Both models provide localised heating around your workspace. If you need to heat the whole room, calculate its heating requirement separately.

Commercial applications

FOR BUSINESS
WHY INFRARED?

A different way to experience warmth.

Infrared heating works differently from conventional convection systems. Rather than relying primarily on circulating warm air, radiant heat is absorbed by people, objects and surfaces within the space.

Comfortable warmth. Simple control. Beautifully discreet.

Discover the benefits
Efficient Heating

Direct radiant heating delivers warmth into the occupied space, with individual room control helping avoid unnecessary heating elsewhere.

Silent Operation

No fans or forced-air circulation means comfortable radiant warmth without background noise.

Zone Heating

Control individual rooms or areas independently instead of heating every space to the same temperature.

Responsive Warmth

Radiant warmth is delivered directly into the occupied space once the heater reaches operating temperature.

Space-Saving Design

Slim wall and ceiling-mounted options help keep valuable floor space clear.

Flexible Control

Choose from thermostat, scheduling and Wi-Fi control options depending on the heater and installation.

RUNNING COSTS

What does infrared heating cost to run?

Understand what affects electricity use and how the running cost of your infrared heating can vary depending on the space, controls and how the system is used.

Running costs depend on the heater’s power consumption, operating time and your electricity tariff. At an example rate of 25p per kWh, the 210W under-desk heater costs approximately 5.25p per hour at continuous full power, while the 90W desktop heater costs approximately 2.25p per hour. These are illustrative figures, not tariff estimates. Lower power settings or temperature-controlled cycling can reduce consumption. Room heating used alongside the desk heater adds to the total cost.

GETTING SET UP

Installation & maintenance

The 210W under-desk panel is designed for mounting beneath a suitable wooden desk, with its heating surface facing down. The 90W desktop heater is designed to stand on a suitable desktop. Follow each product’s instructions for mounting, positioning and safety clearances. Keep hot surfaces clear of skin, clothing, papers and cables, and allow the heater to cool before moving or cleaning it.

NEED TO KNOW

Frequently asked questions.

Find answers to common questions about this infrared heating range, from choosing the right option to installation, controls and everyday use.

What is the difference between a desktop and an under-desk infrared heater?

The 210W under-desk panel mounts beneath a suitable wooden desk to direct warmth towards your legs and feet. The 90W desktop model stands on a suitable desktop to provide localised warmth at desk level.

Can a desk heater heat my whole room?

These models are intended for personal, supplementary heating around a workspace. Whole-room heating should be sized separately according to room dimensions, insulation, glazing and heat loss.

How much electricity do these heaters use?

At continuous full power, the 210W heater uses 0.21kWh per hour and the 90W heater uses 0.09kWh per hour. Multiply this by your electricity price per kWh to calculate the hourly cost. Actual consumption depends on the operating setting and any temperature-controlled cycling.

How is the 210W under-desk heater controlled?

A rotary knob provides OFF and three power levels: 30%, 60% and 100%. A built-in temperature sensor cycles the heating at preset thresholds, and the heater includes overheat protection.

Can the under-desk heater be fitted beneath any desk?

The under-desk mounting method is specified for suitable wooden desks only. Check the mounting requirements and required clearances in the product instructions before installation.

Do the heating surfaces become hot?

Yes. Avoid touching the heating surfaces during operation and maintain the clearances specified for each model. Keep the heaters uncovered and allow them to cool before moving or cleaning.
