How to choose the right frameless panel

Start with your room size, ceiling height and insulation level. Use our Wattage Calculator for a precise recommendation, then decide between one larger panel or two smaller panels for even coverage. Ceiling mounting keeps walls clear and gives uniform heat in kitchens, offices and hallways.

Sizing at a glance

  • Well insulated rooms: lower watts per m²
  • Poor insulation / high ceilings: consider the next wattage up
  • Bathrooms: choose the correct IP rating and follow zoning rules

Placement tips

  • Aim panels at occupied areas (sofas, desks, dining)
  • Keep a clear line of sight – don’t hide behind large furniture
  • For long rooms, ceiling panels down the centreline give even coverage

Control & running costs

Pair with a smart thermostat to schedule rooms and reduce energy use. Estimated cost per hour = panel wattage (kW) × electricity price (per kWh). Thermostats cycle the panel, so average cost is usually lower than the maximum per hour.

Installation & Maintenance

This compact white infrared panel heater includes pre-installed brackets for easy wall mounting, they can also be suspended from a ceiling with our suspension kits, and can be made portable using our feet accessory. As there are no moving parts, there is no maintenance required for our panel heaters. They can be cleaned with a damp cloth when switched off

The frameless panels can be mounted horizontally or vertically

This panel comes with a 13 Amp 3 pin plug, however we do recommend to hardwire it to your mains via a thermostat and fused spur

How do infrared panel heaters work?

The infrared heating technology employed in our IR Radiator panels ensures that heat is radiated directly to objects and warm up people in the room giving a nice and comfortable warmth, rather than wasting energy on heating the air. A conventional heater will produce hot air that swirls around the room, bringing with it dust particles and a lot of wasted energy, but when a door is opened all the warm air is replaced with the cold air, therefore the heater must start again to warm up the room. This not only results in Infrared being a more efficient heating solution but also eliminates the circulation of dust and allergens, making it an ideal choice for those with respiratory sensitivities. The radiant heat also means faster and more efficient heating, resulting in lower energy consumption and reduced heating costs. The IR panel is the perfect energy-efficient, eco-friendly heating solution
