Infrared Heaters With LED Light

Infrared heaters with integrated LED lighting combine efficient space heating and illumination in a single ceiling mounted unit. Ideal for offices, commercial spaces and domestic applications, they reduce visual clutter while delivering consistent comfort and clean, modern installation.

Infrared heaters with integrated LED lighting combine two energy efficient technologies into a single, space-saving panel. By delivering comfortable radiant heat alongside high quality LED illumination, these panels offer a practical solution for modern interiors where efficiency, aesthetics and functionality are equally important.

LED lighting is well known for its low energy consumption and long lifespan, providing bright, reliable light while using significantly less electricity than traditional bulbs. When combined with infrared heating, which warms people and surfaces directly rather than heating the air, the result is a more comfortable environment with reduced energy waste and improved overall efficiency.

This dual-function design is particularly well suited to kitchens, bathrooms, home offices and contemporary living spaces where both heating and lighting are required without adding visual clutter. Infrared heat delivers gentle, even warmth without air movement, helping to maintain a pleasant indoor atmosphere while supporting lower running costs.

Infrared heating also avoids the circulation of dust and allergens commonly associated with conventional convection systems, making it a suitable option for those seeking a cleaner and more comfortable heating experience. When correctly specified, LED infrared panels provide a long lasting, low maintenance solution for everyday use.

Suitable applications

Infrared heating is suitable for both domestic and commercial spaces, particularly in environments where traditional heating systems are inefficient or costly to run. By heating people and surfaces directly rather than warming the surrounding air, infrared provides a more targeted and energy efficient way to heat a space.

This approach makes infrared heating especially effective in rooms with high ceilings, open layouts or intermittent use, while remaining adaptable to different room sizes and usage requirements. With discreet designs and advanced control options, infrared heating integrates easily into both modern interiors and demanding commercial environments.

Why Choose Infrared Heating?

Far infrared heating delivers comfortable, even warmth by heating people and surfaces directly. This results in lower running costs, improved comfort and a healthier indoor environment.

Control infrared heaters with a smart thermostat

Control your heating with smart thermostats

Infrared heaters with LED light include a built in thermostat and remote control, allowing simple, self contained temperature management without the need for an external controller.

The heating function and integrated LED light can be controlled independently, allowing users to operate the light separately from the heater when required.

Where models do not have any built in controls, then our external thermostats can be used to manage multiple panels together. Our smart thermostat is ideal where grouped control, scheduling or centralised temperature management is needed.

Are infrared heaters with led light expensive to run?

Infrared heaters with LED lighting are not expensive to run when correctly sized. Infrared heating reduces wasted energy, while integrated LED lighting uses significantly less electricity than traditional lighting.

In real UK homes, this often results in:

  • Lower combined heating and lighting costs
  • Efficient dual-purpose performance
  • Comfortable warmth at lower air temperatures

Running cost example:
If your electricity costs £0.20 per kWh, a 700W infrared panel with LED light would cost around 14p per hour for heating (0.7 kW × £0.20). LED lighting adds minimal additional cost.

Actual running costs depend on room size, insulation, ceiling height and how the space is used. For a full breakdown, see our guides on infrared heating running costs and compare infrared against traditional heating.

Installation & maintenance

Infrared heaters with integrated LED lighting are designed for fixed ceiling installation or wall mount only depending on the model, combining efficient infrared heating with built in ambient lighting. Panels are supplied with dedicated mounting brackets and must be securely installed by a qualified electrician.

These panels are supplied with a standard UK 13 amp plug for straightforward installation. For a permanent and discreet finish, we recommend hardwiring the panel to the mains via a fused spur. All models in this range include an integrated thermostat, meaning no additional external thermostat is required for temperature control.

The heating and lighting functions operate independently. Infrared heating is controlled via the built in thermostat, while the LED light can be switched on or off separately using the supplied remote control. This allows the lighting to be used independently of the heating when required.

For additional control options, the LED lighting can also be connected to a dedicated wall light switch using compatible accessories, allowing it to be operated in the same way as a conventional ceiling light. Suitable accessories are available separately.

Full installation instructions are supplied with each panel, and professional guidance should always be followed to ensure safe installation and optimal performance.

Warranty & peace of mind

All infrared heaters supplied by Infrared Heating Supplies are covered by a 5 year manufacturer’s warranty for added peace of mind. This warranty applies to products installed and used in accordance with the supplied instructions.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects and faults under normal operating conditions. Full warranty terms and coverage details are provided with each product, and our team is available to assist in the unlikely event of a fault.

Frequently asked questions

How do infrared panels with integrated LED lights work?
Infrared panels with integrated LED lights combine radiant heating and lighting in a single unit. The infrared element heats people and surfaces directly, while the built in LED provides efficient room lighting, reducing the need for separate heaters and light fittings.
Can the heating and lighting functions be controlled separately?
Yes. The heating and LED lighting functions can be operated independently, allowing you to use the heater, the light, or both together depending on your needs.
Are the LED lights dimmable or colour adjustable?
Yes. The integrated LED lights are dimmable and colour adjustable, allowing you to select warm white, natural white or cool white lighting to suit the space and time of day.
How energy efficient are infrared panels with LED lights?
Both infrared heating and LED lighting are highly energy efficient. Infrared heat warms people and objects directly, reducing heat loss, while LED lighting uses significantly less electricity than traditional lighting.
What maintenance is required for infrared panels with LED lights?
Very little maintenance is required. The panel can be dusted regularly, and the LED light cover can be wiped occasionally with a soft, damp cloth when switched off.
Are infrared panels with LED lights suitable for commercial spaces?
