840W Infrared Ceiling Panel with High-Lumen LED Light
The RADI8 840W infrared ceiling panel combines high-output radiant heating and powerful adjustable LED lighting within one slim ceiling-mounted unit. Designed for larger rooms, open-plan interiors and commercial spaces, it provides two essential functions from above while keeping valuable wall and floor space completely clear.
Its 840W far infrared heating element makes this the highest-output LED model within this part of the RADI8 ceiling panel range. It is particularly suited to larger living spaces, kitchen-diners, studios, offices, meeting rooms and workspaces where both heating and substantial ceiling illumination are required.
The integrated LED system is dimmable and CCT adjustable, with warm white, daylight and cool white settings and illumination of up to 7610 lumens. The heating and lighting functions operate independently, allowing either function to be used separately or both together.
A built-in temperature receiver and supplied remote provide convenient control without requiring an external plug-in thermostat. This model is designed for surface mounting on a suitable flat, solid ceiling only, must be hardwired by a qualified electrician and is backed by a 10-year RADI8 warranty.
High-Output Heating for Larger Interiors
With 840W of infrared heating output, this model is designed for spaces with a greater calculated heating requirement than the smaller RADI8 LED ceiling panels.
Rather than relying on a fan to circulate heated air around the room, the panel emits far infrared energy towards people, objects and surrounding surfaces. Its ceiling-mounted format allows the heating system to operate without occupying usable wall or floor space.
High-Lumen, Dimmable LED Lighting
Alongside its higher heating output, this model incorporates a powerful CCT-adjustable and dimmable LED light. Three selectable colour temperatures allow the lighting to be adapted to different rooms, activities and times of day:
3000K Warm White – CRI 83 – 3730 lumens
4200K Daylight – CRI 86 – 7610 lumens
6000K Cool White – CRI 83 – 3880 lumens
The 4200K daylight setting provides the highest stated light output at 7610 lumens, making this model particularly useful where strong general room illumination is required alongside infrared heating.
Use the Heating & Lighting Independently
The infrared heater and LED lighting systems operate independently. You can therefore use the heating without the light, the light without the heating, or operate both functions together.
This gives the combined panel practical year-round functionality rather than requiring the heating and lighting systems to operate at the same time.
Built-In Temperature Receiver & Remote Control
The panel incorporates a built-in temperature receiver, so a separate plug-in thermostat is not required for normal operation.
Using the supplied remote control, you can adjust the heating temperature and LED light brightness separately. The remote also provides access to the available timer modes.
This version is therefore suited to customers who want integrated temperature control directly from the panel without requiring a separate external thermostat.
Carbon Crystal Infrared Heating Technology
Inside the panel is a carbon crystal heating element housed within a fire-rated insulated core. A radiant-reflective backing helps direct the generated infrared energy towards the room rather than unnecessarily towards the ceiling structure.
With no fan or motor required to distribute the heat, the infrared heating element operates silently, making the panel suitable for living spaces, offices, studios, meeting rooms and other noise-sensitive environments.
Designed for Larger Domestic & Commercial Spaces
The combination of 840W infrared heating and high-lumen adjustable LED lighting makes this model particularly suited to applications including:
Large and open-plan living spaces
Kitchen and dining areas
Studios and creative workspaces
Commercial offices
Meeting and conference rooms
Other larger interiors requiring combined heating and ceiling lighting
Surface-Mounted Solid Ceiling Installation
This LED infrared panel is designed for direct surface mounting on a suitable flat, solid ceiling using the appropriate mounting system.
It is not suitable for suspended grid ceiling installation, wall mounting or portable use.
The panel must be hardwired into the electrical supply by a qualified electrician in accordance with the supplied installation instructions and applicable electrical regulations.
All mounting, positioning, electrical and safety clearance requirements supplied with the heater should be followed during installation.
10-Year RADI8 Warranty
Designed as a long-term electric heating solution for larger domestic and commercial interiors, the RADI8 840W infrared ceiling panel is backed by a 10-year warranty.
Is 840W the Right Heating Output?
The correct infrared heating output depends on the room dimensions, ceiling height, insulation, glazing, construction and intended use rather than floor area alone.

WHERE INFRARED WORKS
Heating designed for
real spaces.
From everyday living spaces to demanding commercial environments,
infrared heating provides a flexible heating solution across a wide
range of applications.
01
Domestic applications
Comfortable, discreet heating solutions designed around
the way you use your home.
Infrared heating works differently from conventional
convection heating. Rather than relying primarily on warming
and circulating the air, infrared transfers radiant heat
directly to people and surfaces within the room.
These surfaces absorb the radiant energy and gradually release
warmth back into the space, helping create a comfortable and
consistent heating environment.
With no fans or forced-air circulation, infrared heaters operate
silently while delivering comfortable radiant warmth into the space.
A modern approach to heating that combines radiant comfort,
individual room control and a discreet, space-saving design.
Efficient Heating
Radiant heat can be directed where it is needed rather than
relying solely on warming and circulating the air.
No Forced Air
With no fans required, infrared heating avoids the continuous
forced-air circulation associated with many conventional systems.
Radiant Comfort
Infrared warms people and surrounding surfaces directly,
creating a comfortable radiant warmth throughout the space.
Individual Room Control
Divide heating into zones so individual rooms or areas can
be controlled according to how and when they are used.
Responsive Warmth
Radiant warmth is delivered directly into the occupied space once
the heater reaches operating temperature, without relying on
forced-air circulation.
Low Maintenance
With no pumps, fans or complex moving components in the heater,
ongoing maintenance requirements are minimal.
Silent Operation
No fans or motors means heating operates silently, making
infrared particularly suited to bedrooms, offices and quiet spaces.
Warms Surfaces
By warming walls and other surfaces directly, infrared can
help keep surface temperatures warmer within the heated space.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions.
Helpful answers to some of the most common questions about
choosing, installing and using infrared heating.
01
How do I calculate what wattage I need?
The heating requirement depends on factors including room
dimensions, insulation, construction and intended use. Use our
Wattage Calculator
to calculate the recommended heating requirement for your space.
02
Can infrared heaters be used in bathrooms?
Certain infrared heaters can be suitable for bathroom
installations. The correct product and IP rating must be selected
for the intended location, and installation must comply with
applicable electrical requirements. Where required, installation
should be completed by a suitably qualified electrician.
03
How much does infrared heating cost to run?
Running cost depends on the heater wattage, your electricity
tariff and how long the heater operates. For example, a 1kW
heater uses 1kWh of electricity when operating continuously at
full power for one hour. Thermostatic controls can cycle the
heater on and off as required to maintain the selected room
temperature.
04
Do I need an electrician to install my heater?
This depends on the heater and installation method. Suitable
plug-in models can simply connect to an appropriate socket.
Hardwired installations, bathroom installations and electrical
connections that form part of the fixed wiring should be
completed by a suitably qualified electrician.
05
Are infrared heaters suitable for homes with children and pets?
Infrared heating is widely used in residential environments,
but heaters can become hot during operation. Every heater should
be installed, positioned and used in accordance with its
instructions, with appropriate consideration given to children,
pets and the surrounding space.
06
Can infrared heating help with condensation and damp?
Infrared heating warms people and surfaces directly, which can
help maintain warmer surface temperatures and may help reduce
conditions that contribute to surface condensation. However,
damp and mould can have several causes, including ventilation,
moisture and building defects, so heating alone should not be
considered a solution to every damp or mould problem.
