Dynamic Hot Yoga Studio in Portslade required a heating system capable of creating the elevated temperatures needed for hot yoga classes while providing reliable control across a busy weekly schedule.
Unlike a conventional fitness space, the heating forms an important part of the hot yoga environment itself. The studio therefore needed a system that could provide high-output heating across the practice area and be easily managed around multiple classes each day.
Infrared heating was selected for the studio, using high-output infrared bar heaters together with smart thermostatic control to provide radiant warmth throughout the practice space.

The Project
Dynamic Hot Yoga Studio in Portslade needed a dedicated heating system for its hot yoga classes. With sessions taking place throughout the week, the system needed to support repeated daily use while giving the studio straightforward control over when the heating operated.
The heating also needed to integrate into the practice space without taking up valuable floor area, making the positioning and format of the heaters an important part of the system design.
The Heating Challenge
Hot yoga places very different demands on a heating system from a standard gym or fitness studio. The purpose of the system is not simply to take the chill out of the room; it needs to help create and maintain the elevated room temperatures required for the classes.
Dynamic Hot Yoga Studio was targeting temperatures of around 35°C, so the heating output and positioning needed to be considered specifically for the size, use and temperature requirements of the studio.
Control was equally important. With the heaters being used for several sessions each day, the studio needed a practical way to manage the system around its class schedule.
The Infrared Heating Solution
Infrared Heating Supplies specified high-output 3000W infrared bar heaters for the studio, positioned to provide radiant heating across the practice area.
Infrared heaters transfer radiant energy to people, objects and surfaces within their coverage area rather than relying primarily on heating and circulating the surrounding air. This made them a suitable option for creating the heated environment required for the studio's hot yoga sessions.
The system was paired with smart thermostatic control, giving the studio control over the heating and providing app-based access for day-to-day operation.
Designed around the class schedule
The heating system is used regularly throughout the week. According to studio owner Aftab Miah, the heaters operate two to three times a day for approximately one hour at a time, seven days a week.
The thermostat and app provide a straightforward way to manage the system around those sessions, allowing the studio to control its heating according to when the practice space is required.
The Result
Aftab reports that the infrared heating system has performed well under the studio's regular schedule and says he is very pleased with the installation.
