Netmostat Smart Wi-Fi Thermostat for Infrared Heating
Take greater control of your infrared heating with the Netmostat Smart Thermostat – a Wi-Fi enabled heating controller designed for infrared heating systems.
The Netmostat combines temperature control, 7-day scheduling and remote app control, allowing you to manage compatible infrared heaters from your smartphone or tablet. It is particularly useful for creating individually controlled heating zones throughout a home, office or commercial property.
Smartphone Control from Anywhere
Once connected to a compatible 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, the Netmostat can be controlled through the Netmostat app on a compatible iOS or Android device.
This allows you to adjust your heating remotely, change the target temperature or alter your heating schedule without needing to be physically beside the thermostat.
7-Day Programmable Heating
Create a heating programme around the way you actually use your property. The 7-day programmable schedule allows different heating periods to be configured throughout the week, helping you operate your infrared heating only when it is required.
A boost function also allows you to temporarily override your normal schedule when additional heating is required.
Create Independent Heating Zones
Multiple Netmostats can be used to create independently controlled heating zones. This makes it possible to control different rooms or areas separately rather than operating the entire heating system from a single thermostat.
This can be particularly useful for larger homes, offices, commercial premises, rental properties and other installations where different areas have different heating requirements.
If you're planning infrared heating across several rooms, our whole-house infrared heating guide explains how room-by-room sizing, heater positioning and separate heating zones can work together.
Compatible with RADI8 Infrared Heating
The Netmostat is suitable for controlling compatible infrared heating panels, infrared bar heaters and ceiling-mounted infrared heating systems.
It is designed primarily for infrared heaters without a built-in thermostat. If your heater already incorporates its own thermostat and controls, an external Netmostat may not be required.
If you're deciding between these two control methods, read our Built-In Thermostat vs Non-Thermostat Infrared Heaters guide for a detailed explanation of individual heater control versus centralised heating zones.
The Netmostat can directly control compatible resistive heating loads of up to 16A / 3680W.
Need to control more than 3680W? For larger infrared heating installations, the Netmostat can also be used to control a higher total heating load when an appropriately rated contactor is incorporated into the electrical installation. In this arrangement, the Netmostat controls the contactor rather than carrying the full heater load directly.
This makes the Netmostat suitable for larger installations where multiple infrared heaters need to operate together as a single heating zone. The contactor and associated electrical components must be correctly specified and installed by a qualified electrician for the total connected load.
Professional Installation Required
The Netmostat must be professionally installed by a qualified electrician.
For installations within its direct switching capacity, the thermostat is hardwired into the electrical system between the infrared heater and the mains supply.
Where the total connected heating load exceeds the Netmostat's 16A / 3680W direct switching capacity, an appropriately rated contactor can be incorporated into the installation. The Netmostat then provides the control signal while the contactor switches the higher electrical load.
This allows a single Netmostat heating zone to control multiple compatible infrared heaters with a combined output greater than 3680W, subject to the electrical system, contactor and associated protective devices being correctly designed and rated for the installation.
The Netmostat is compatible with a standard UK back box and requires a stable 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection for remote app functionality.

Built-In Thermostat or Netmostat?
The Netmostat is particularly suited to our standard infrared heaters without built-in thermostat controls. Rather than controlling the heater directly at the unit, the Netmostat provides a dedicated wall-mounted thermostat with smart control and scheduling.
This makes it a strong choice where you want app control, programmable heating schedules or multiple independently controlled heating zones.
Heaters that already include an integrated thermostat and their own controls may not require an additional Netmostat.
If you're unsure whether thermostatic control is required or how it should be configured, read our Do Infrared Heaters Need a Thermostat? guide.
Ideal for Single Heaters or Larger Infrared Heating Systems
The Netmostat can be used with a single compatible infrared heater or as part of a larger zoned heating installation.
For example, several infrared panels or bar heaters can be grouped together as one heating zone. Where their combined electrical load exceeds 3680W, a suitably designed contactor arrangement allows the Netmostat to control the larger heating load without the full heater current passing directly through the thermostat.
This provides a flexible way to build smart, independently controlled infrared heating zones for both domestic and commercial applications.
Plan Your Infrared Heating System
Whether you're controlling a single infrared heater or creating several heating zones throughout a property, the Netmostat provides a central point of temperature control while adding the convenience of Wi-Fi connectivity and programmable scheduling.
