580W Black Glass Infrared Panel Heater
The RADI8 580W Black Glass Infrared Panel Heater combines far infrared heating with a premium gloss-black glass surface, creating a wall-mounted heater designed to complement contemporary interiors rather than resemble a conventional radiator.
With a 580W heating output, the panel radiates warmth towards people and surrounding surfaces instead of relying on fans to circulate heated air. Its silent, light-free operation makes it particularly suited to living rooms, bedrooms, offices, studios and customer-facing commercial interiors.
The reflective black glass creates a distinctive architectural finish, making this model an excellent choice for modern rooms, darker interior schemes and design-conscious renovations where the heater itself forms part of the overall aesthetic.
This standard model does not include a built-in thermostat. For thermostatic, scheduling and app-based control, it can be paired with the RADI8 Netmostat Smart Thermostat, available separately. The heater is backed by a 10-year RADI8 warranty.

The Netmostat provides app-based control alongside a wall-mounted thermostat, allowing the heater to be switched on or off, the required temperature to be set and heating times to be scheduled using its 7-day timer.
When using the Netmostat, the panel must be appropriately hardwired into the external thermostat and electrical supply. We recommend this is completed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the supplied instructions and applicable electrical regulations.

This compact Black infrared panel heater includes pre-installed brackets for easy wall mounting. As there are no moving parts, there is no maintenance required for our panel heaters. They can be cleaned with a damp cloth when switched off
This 580w panel comes with a 13 Amp 3 pin plug, however we do recommend to hardwire it to your mains via a thermostat and fused spur
Safety
All our infrared heaters feature overheat protection, limiting the surface temperature from 75°C to 95°C, and all heating panels comply with safety standards (CE, UKCA, TüV, GS)
The toughened glass means if broken, the glass crumbles into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards like annealed (non-tempered) glass. These chunks are less likely to cause injury. Tempered or toughened glass is a type of safety glass processed by controlled thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength compared with normal glass.

Can infrared heaters be used in bathrooms?
Certain infrared heaters can be suitable for bathroom
installations. The correct product and IP rating must be selected
for the intended location, and installation must comply with
applicable electrical requirements. Where required, installation
should be completed by a suitably qualified electrician.

How much does infrared heating cost to run?
Running cost depends on the heater wattage, your electricity
tariff and how long the heater operates. For example, a 1kW
heater uses 1kWh of electricity when operating continuously at
full power for one hour. Thermostatic controls can cycle the
heater on and off as required to maintain the selected room
temperature.

Do I need an electrician to install my heater?
This depends on the heater and installation method. Suitable
plug-in models can simply connect to an appropriate socket.
Hardwired installations, bathroom installations and electrical
connections that form part of the fixed wiring should be
completed by a suitably qualified electrician.

Are infrared heaters suitable for homes with children and pets?
Infrared heating is widely used in residential environments,
but heaters can become hot during operation. Every heater should
be installed, positioned and used in accordance with its
instructions, with appropriate consideration given to children,
pets and the surrounding space.

Infrared heating warms people and surfaces directly, which can
help maintain warmer surface temperatures and may help reduce
conditions that contribute to surface condensation. However,
damp and mould can have several causes, including ventilation,
moisture and building defects, so heating alone should not be
considered a solution to every damp or mould problem.
