PRODUCT DETAILS
700W Black Glass Infrared Panel Heater for Larger Interiors
The RADI8 700W Black Glass Infrared Panel Heater combines high-output far infrared heating with a premium gloss-black glass finish, creating a distinctive wall-mounted heating solution for larger residential and commercial interiors.
With a 700W heating output, this model provides greater heating capacity than the smaller black glass panels in the range while retaining the same clean, contemporary appearance. It is particularly suited to larger living spaces, offices, studios, hotel interiors and design-led commercial environments.
Far infrared technology radiates warmth towards people, walls and surrounding surfaces rather than relying on a fan to circulate heated air. With no fan required for heat distribution, the heater operates silently and without visible light.
This standard 700W model does not include a built-in thermostat. For thermostatic, scheduling and app-based control, it can be paired with the RADI8 Netmostat Smart Thermostat, available separately. The heater is backed by a 10-year RADI8 warranty.
Higher-Output Black Glass Infrared Heating
The 700W output makes this model a strong option where the calculated heating requirement exceeds the output available from the smaller black glass panels in the RADI8 range.
This makes it particularly relevant for larger rooms, more open interior layouts and spaces with a greater calculated heat requirement, while retaining the premium appearance of a glass-fronted heater.
Premium Gloss-Black Glass Design
The high-gloss black surface gives the panel a distinctive architectural appearance, allowing the heating system to become part of the interior rather than resembling a conventional radiator.
The darker reflective finish works particularly well alongside black fixtures, darker furniture, contemporary kitchens, modern offices and minimalist interior schemes where a conventional white heater may look out of place.
700W Far Infrared Heating
The heater uses far infrared technology to radiate warmth towards people and surrounding surfaces within the room rather than depending primarily on convective airflow.
No fan is required to distribute the heat, providing silent, light-free operation without introducing fan noise or visible heating elements into the room.
Designed for Larger Residential & Commercial Spaces
The combination of higher 700W output and a premium black glass finish makes this model particularly suited to interiors where both heating performance and appearance are important.
Typical applications include larger living areas, open-plan interiors, offices, studios, hotel spaces, reception areas, lounges and customer-facing commercial environments.
For larger projects, multiple infrared panels can also be specified according to the total calculated heating requirement and layout of the space.
A Designer Alternative to Conventional Wall Heating
Heating equipment can have a significant visual impact on a finished interior. The gloss-black glass surface provides a more design-led alternative for projects where the appearance of conventional radiators does not suit the intended scheme.
Its wall-mounted format also keeps floor space clear while giving the heating system a clean, contemporary appearance.
Wall-Mounted Infrared Heating
The 700W black glass panel provides a wall-mounted heating solution designed to integrate into modern residential and commercial interiors.
The heater should be securely installed in accordance with the supplied mounting instructions and required safety clearances.
Optional Smart Thermostat Control
This is the standard non-thermostat version of the 700W black glass heater. For thermostatic and smart heating control, it can be paired with the
RADI8 Netmostat Smart Thermostat.
The Netmostat combines a wall-mounted thermostat with app-based control, allowing you to switch the heater on or off, select the required temperature and create heating schedules using its 7-day timer.
To use the Netmostat, the panel must be hardwired to the external thermostat and the mains electrical supply. We recommend this work is completed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable electrical regulations and safety requirements.
Is 700W the Right Output for Your Room?
The correct infrared heating output depends on the characteristics of the room rather than a fixed square-metre coverage figure.
Room dimensions, ceiling height, insulation, glazing, external walls and building construction can all affect the wattage required.

This 700w panel comes with a 13 Amp 3 pin plug, however we do recommend to hardwire it to your mains via a thermostat and fused spur
Safety
Safety is paramount, which is why our heaters come equipped with advanced safety features such as overheat protection limiting the surface temperature from 75°C to 95°C and compliance with industry standards (CE, UKCA, TüV, GS). You can rest assured knowing that your comfort is our top priority
The toughened glass means if broken, the glass crumbles into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards like annealed (non-tempered) glass. These chunks are less likely to cause injury. Tempered or toughened glass is a type of safety glass processed by controlled thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength compared with normal glass.

WHERE INFRARED WORKS
Heating designed for
real spaces.
From everyday living spaces to demanding commercial environments,
infrared heating provides a flexible heating solution across a wide
range of applications.
01
Domestic applications
Comfortable, discreet heating solutions designed around
the way you use your home.
Infrared heating works differently from conventional
convection heating. Rather than relying primarily on warming
and circulating the air, infrared transfers radiant heat
directly to people and surfaces within the room.
These surfaces absorb the radiant energy and gradually release
warmth back into the space, helping create a comfortable and
consistent heating environment.
With no fans or forced-air circulation, infrared heaters operate
silently while delivering comfortable radiant warmth into the space.
A modern approach to heating that combines radiant comfort,
individual room control and a discreet, space-saving design.
Efficient Heating
Radiant heat can be directed where it is needed rather than
relying solely on warming and circulating the air.
No Forced Air
With no fans required, infrared heating avoids the continuous
forced-air circulation associated with many conventional systems.
Radiant Comfort
Infrared warms people and surrounding surfaces directly,
creating a comfortable radiant warmth throughout the space.
Individual Room Control
Divide heating into zones so individual rooms or areas can
be controlled according to how and when they are used.
Responsive Warmth
Radiant warmth is delivered directly into the occupied space once
the heater reaches operating temperature, without relying on
forced-air circulation.
Low Maintenance
With no pumps, fans or complex moving components in the heater,
ongoing maintenance requirements are minimal.
Silent Operation
No fans or motors means heating operates silently, making
infrared particularly suited to bedrooms, offices and quiet spaces.
Warms Surfaces
By warming walls and other surfaces directly, infrared can
help keep surface temperatures warmer within the heated space.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions.
Helpful answers to some of the most common questions about
choosing, installing and using infrared heating.
01
How do I calculate what wattage I need?
The heating requirement depends on factors including room
dimensions, insulation, construction and intended use. Use our
Wattage Calculator
to calculate the recommended heating requirement for your space.
02
Can infrared heaters be used in bathrooms?
Certain infrared heaters can be suitable for bathroom
installations. The correct product and IP rating must be selected
for the intended location, and installation must comply with
applicable electrical requirements. Where required, installation
should be completed by a suitably qualified electrician.
03
How much does infrared heating cost to run?
Running cost depends on the heater wattage, your electricity
tariff and how long the heater operates. For example, a 1kW
heater uses 1kWh of electricity when operating continuously at
full power for one hour. Thermostatic controls can cycle the
heater on and off as required to maintain the selected room
temperature.
04
Do I need an electrician to install my heater?
This depends on the heater and installation method. Suitable
plug-in models can simply connect to an appropriate socket.
Hardwired installations, bathroom installations and electrical
connections that form part of the fixed wiring should be
completed by a suitably qualified electrician.
05
Are infrared heaters suitable for homes with children and pets?
Infrared heating is widely used in residential environments,
but heaters can become hot during operation. Every heater should
be installed, positioned and used in accordance with its
instructions, with appropriate consideration given to children,
pets and the surrounding space.
06
Can infrared heating help with condensation and damp?
Infrared heating warms people and surfaces directly, which can
help maintain warmer surface temperatures and may help reduce
conditions that contribute to surface condensation. However,
damp and mould can have several causes, including ventilation,
moisture and building defects, so heating alone should not be
considered a solution to every damp or mould problem.
