Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to our FAQs for glass infrared heating panels. Whether you're curious about their efficiency, installation process, or other key features, our informative blog and  Frequently Asked Questions are designed to address your queries and help you make an informed decision.

What are infrared glass heater panels, and how do they work?

Infrared glass heater panels are advanced heating solutions which use infrared technology to warm your space effectively. These smooth panels are made of tempered glass with an integrated heating element. When the heating element is powered, it emits infrared radiation (the same rays the sun emits), which is absorbed by objects in the room, including walls, floors, and furniture.  These objects then radiate the absorbed heat back into the room, generating a pleasant and inviting warmth. Unlike traditional heating methods, which rely on convection, infrared glass heater panels offer more efficient and targeted heating by directly warming objects.

Discover the differences between traditional heating methods and infrared heating panels.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of using infrared glass panel heaters?

Infrared glass panel heaters are energy-efficient, as they directly warm up objects and surfaces, potentially resulting in savings on heating bills. Additionally, these infrared glass heaters are eco-friendly, producing no harmful emissions. Their streamlined design makes them practical for saving space, as they can be mounted on walls or ceilings with installation accessories, adding a touch of elegance to any room.  There are a few disadvantages to consider about infrared glass panel heaters. The heating range of glass infrared panels is better suited to indoor heating, making them less suitable for large or open spaces. Furthermore, they may be less effective in highly humid environments, as moisture can absorb infrared radiation and reduce heater efficiency.

I bought this infrared panel heater from this company to heat a small office in my shop. Their website was easy to use and gave useful information to choose the correct wattage for my space. The order arrive quickly. It was easy to attach to the wall and only needed to be plugged into a wall socket. It has been working well and I am very pleased with it. I would order from this company again.

Already bought 2 infrared panels from this company. Both times service was great an all went smoothly. The panels work great and although I was sceptical about its perm once before buying it, after installing it, it works great and I went to buy a second one. Very easy to install and great value for money. Very sleek and thin as well. Thank you

We have a 1900s terraced house with a rear "lean to" designed kitchen with a chimney and open fire. We have had a variety of coal fires and back burner boilers, some with a gas fire on the front. The chimney was always a problem due to a poor design of the kitchen chimney and its position near the main house roof. Finally we opted for a modern wall mounted gas boiler which vented through the kitchen wall. The options for heating the kitchen itself were an extension to the main radiator system or electric heaters. Like all fitted kitchens floor space was a problem. We decided to try an IR panel mounted on the ceiling and controlled through a simple socket plug-in thermostat with the intention of adding another if successful. It worked perfectly and so far we have not needed another. Choosing, buying and delivery was painless. No problems at all - thoroughly recommended.
