The RADI8 580W Mirror Infrared Heater combines far infrared heating with a full tempered mirror surface, giving you practical room heating and a functional mirror within one slim wall-mounted panel. Measuring 1000 × 600mm, its larger rectangular format is particularly suited to bathrooms, bedrooms, dressing areas, hallways and contemporary interiors where both heating and wall space need to be considered.
With a 580W heating output, the panel radiates warmth towards people and surrounding surfaces without relying on fans or moving parts. The result is silent, light-free heating from a discreet mirrored panel just 12mm deep.
The IP54 rating provides protection against splashing water and dust, making this model suitable for appropriate bathroom installations. Its tempered mirror surface also provides an important safety advantage compared with ordinary non-tempered mirror glass.
This standard model does not have a thermostat built into the panel. For thermostatic and app-based control, it can be paired with the RADI8 Netmostat Smart Thermostat, available separately. The heater is backed by a 10-year RADI8 warranty.
Heating & a Full Mirror in One Panel
The RADI8 580W Mirror Heater performs two practical functions from the same wall space. Its reflective front acts as a full mirror while the infrared heating element behind it provides radiant warmth into the room.
This makes it particularly useful in interiors where a mirror is already required, allowing the heating system to become part of the room design rather than adding a separate conventional radiator.
580W Far Infrared Heating
With a 580W output, this model sits between the smaller mirror heaters and the larger 700W version in the RADI8 range.
Far infrared heating radiates energy towards people and surrounding surfaces rather than depending on a fan to continually circulate heated air.
With no fan required for heat distribution, the panel operates silently and without visible light, making it particularly suitable for bathrooms, bedrooms and other quiet interior spaces.
1000 × 600mm Rectangular Mirror Design
Measuring 1000mm × 600mm × just 12mm deep, this model provides a substantial rectangular mirror surface while maintaining an ultra-slim wall-mounted profile.
Its proportions make it particularly useful where a larger wall mirror is desirable, including bathrooms, dressing areas, bedrooms, hallways, hotel rooms and other residential or commercial interiors.
Tempered Safety Mirror
The front surface is manufactured from tempered mirror rather than ordinary annealed mirror glass.
If tempered mirror is broken, it is designed to crumble into smaller granular pieces rather than producing the larger sharp shards associated with conventional non-tempered glass. This makes tempered mirror particularly appropriate for a wall-mounted heating product.
IP54 Rated for Bathroom Installation
This mirror heater carries an IP54 rating, providing protection against splashing water and dust.
This makes it suitable for installation in appropriate bathroom locations, subject to the required bathroom zones, electrical regulations and installation instructions.
For bathroom installations, the electrical work should be completed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the applicable requirements.
Designed for Wall Mounting
The 580W mirror heater is specifically designed for wall-mounted installation and includes pre-installed mounting brackets.
The panel measures 1000 × 600 × 12mm and weighs approximately 15.15kg, so it should always be securely fixed to a suitable wall structure using the appropriate fixings.
UK 13A Plug or Hardwired Smart Control
This 580W model is supplied with a UK 13A 3-pin plug, allowing straightforward installation where plug-in use is appropriate.
For a permanent installation or where the optional RADI8 Netmostat is being used, we recommend an appropriate hardwired installation via the thermostat and fused spur.
Thermostat connections, hardwired installations and bathroom installations should be completed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the supplied instructions and applicable electrical regulations.
Surface Temperature & Safety
The stated operating surface temperature of the mirror panel is approximately 70–90°C.
The heater incorporates overheat protection and should always be positioned and installed in accordance with the mounting and safety clearances specified in the supplied instructions.

Quality & Safety
UKCA, CE, Rohs, Lot 20 (when used with our smart thermostat)
This mirror infrared panel heater includes pre-installed brackets for easy wall mounting. As there are no moving parts, there is no maintenance required for our panel heaters. They can be cleaned with a damp cloth when switched off
This 580w panel comes with a 13 Amp 3 pin plug, however we do recommend to hardwire it to your mains via a thermostat and fused spur
Safety
All our infrared heaters feature overheat protection, limiting the surface temperature from 75°C to 95°C, and all heating panels comply with safety standards (CE, UKCA, TüV, GS)
The tempered mirror means if broken, tempered mirror crumbles into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards like annealed (non-tempered) mirrors. These chunks are less likely to cause injury, which is why tempered mirrors are considered a type of safety mirror

WHERE INFRARED WORKS
Heating designed for
real spaces.
From everyday living spaces to demanding commercial environments,
infrared heating provides a flexible heating solution across a wide
range of applications.
01
Domestic applications
Comfortable, discreet heating solutions designed around
the way you use your home.
Infrared heating works differently from conventional
convection heating. Rather than relying primarily on warming
and circulating the air, infrared transfers radiant heat
directly to people and surfaces within the room.
These surfaces absorb the radiant energy and gradually release
warmth back into the space, helping create a comfortable and
consistent heating environment.
With no fans or forced-air circulation, infrared heaters operate
silently while delivering comfortable radiant warmth into the space.
A modern approach to heating that combines radiant comfort,
individual room control and a discreet, space-saving design.
Efficient Heating
Radiant heat can be directed where it is needed rather than
relying solely on warming and circulating the air.
No Forced Air
With no fans required, infrared heating avoids the continuous
forced-air circulation associated with many conventional systems.
Radiant Comfort
Infrared warms people and surrounding surfaces directly,
creating a comfortable radiant warmth throughout the space.
Individual Room Control
Divide heating into zones so individual rooms or areas can
be controlled according to how and when they are used.
Responsive Warmth
Radiant warmth is delivered directly into the occupied space once
the heater reaches operating temperature, without relying on
forced-air circulation.
Low Maintenance
With no pumps, fans or complex moving components in the heater,
ongoing maintenance requirements are minimal.
Silent Operation
No fans or motors means heating operates silently, making
infrared particularly suited to bedrooms, offices and quiet spaces.
Warms Surfaces
By warming walls and other surfaces directly, infrared can
help keep surface temperatures warmer within the heated space.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions.
Helpful answers to some of the most common questions about
choosing, installing and using infrared heating.
01
How do I calculate what wattage I need?
The heating requirement depends on factors including room
dimensions, insulation, construction and intended use. Use our
Wattage Calculator
to calculate the recommended heating requirement for your space.
02
Can infrared heaters be used in bathrooms?
Certain infrared heaters can be suitable for bathroom
installations. The correct product and IP rating must be selected
for the intended location, and installation must comply with
applicable electrical requirements. Where required, installation
should be completed by a suitably qualified electrician.
03
How much does infrared heating cost to run?
Running cost depends on the heater wattage, your electricity
tariff and how long the heater operates. For example, a 1kW
heater uses 1kWh of electricity when operating continuously at
full power for one hour. Thermostatic controls can cycle the
heater on and off as required to maintain the selected room
temperature.
04
Do I need an electrician to install my heater?
This depends on the heater and installation method. Suitable
plug-in models can simply connect to an appropriate socket.
Hardwired installations, bathroom installations and electrical
connections that form part of the fixed wiring should be
completed by a suitably qualified electrician.
05
Are infrared heaters suitable for homes with children and pets?
Infrared heating is widely used in residential environments,
but heaters can become hot during operation. Every heater should
be installed, positioned and used in accordance with its
instructions, with appropriate consideration given to children,
pets and the surrounding space.
06
Can infrared heating help with condensation and damp?
Infrared heating warms people and surfaces directly, which can
help maintain warmer surface temperatures and may help reduce
conditions that contribute to surface condensation. However,
damp and mould can have several causes, including ventilation,
moisture and building defects, so heating alone should not be
considered a solution to every damp or mould problem.
