The RADI8 700W Mirror Infrared Heater combines high-output far infrared heating with a large tempered mirror surface, providing room heating and a functional full-length-style mirror within one slim wall-mounted panel.
Measuring 1200 × 600mm with a 700W heating output, this is a larger option within the rectangular RADI8 mirror range. It is particularly well suited to bathrooms, bedrooms, dressing areas, hallways, hotel rooms and other interiors where a substantial mirror and higher heating output are both required.
The heater radiates warmth towards people and surrounding surfaces without relying on a fan to distribute heated air. Its IP54-rated tempered mirror also makes it suitable for appropriate bathroom installations, while the slim 12mm profile keeps the finished installation clean and unobtrusive.
This standard model does not include a built-in thermostat. For thermostatic and app-based control, it can be paired with the RADI8 Netmostat Smart Thermostat, available separately. The heater is backed by a 10-year RADI8 warranty.
700W Heating with a Large Functional Mirror
The RADI8 700W Mirror Heater combines two practical functions within the same wall space. Its large reflective front provides a functional mirror while the infrared heating element behind it provides 700W of radiant heating.
At 1200 × 600mm, this model provides a larger mirror surface and greater heating output than the smaller rectangular models in the range, making it particularly useful where the calculated heat requirement is higher.
1200 × 600mm Slimline Design
Measuring 1200mm × 600mm × just 12mm deep, the heater provides a substantial rectangular mirror without the depth and visual bulk associated with many conventional heating systems.
Its proportions make it particularly suitable for bathrooms, dressing areas, bedrooms, hallways and hotel rooms where a larger wall mirror would already form part of the interior.
700W Far Infrared Heating
The heater uses far infrared technology to radiate warmth towards people and surrounding surfaces rather than depending on a fan to continually circulate heated air.
With no fan required for heat distribution, the panel provides silent, light-free heating, making it particularly appropriate for bathrooms, bedrooms and other quiet interior spaces.
Tempered Safety Mirror
The front surface is manufactured from tempered mirror. If broken, tempered mirror is designed to crumble into smaller granular pieces rather than forming the larger jagged shards associated with conventional annealed mirror glass.
This provides an important safety characteristic for a large wall-mounted mirrored heating panel.
IP54 Rated for Bathroom Use
The 700W mirror heater carries an IP54 rating, providing protection against splashing water and dust.
This makes it suitable for appropriate bathroom installations when positioned in the correct location and installed in accordance with the supplied instructions and applicable bathroom electrical requirements.
Bathroom and hardwired installations should be completed by a qualified electrician.
Wall-Mounted Installation
This mirror infrared heater is designed for wall mounting and is supplied with pre-installed mounting brackets.
The panel measures 1200 × 600 × 12mm and weighs approximately 17.85kg, so it should be securely fixed to a suitable wall structure using appropriate fixings and in accordance with the supplied installation instructions.
13A Plug or Hardwired Thermostat Installation
The 700W mirror panel is supplied with a UK 13A 3-pin plug.
RADI8 recommends hardwiring the heater to the mains via a thermostat and fused spur where a permanent controlled installation is required.
When using the optional RADI8 Netmostat, the heater must be appropriately wired into the external thermostat and electrical supply. We recommend this work is completed by a qualified electrician.
Surface Temperature & Overheat Protection
The specified operating surface temperature of the mirror panel is approximately 70–90°C.
The heater also incorporates overheat protection and should always be installed in accordance with the positioning, clearance and safety requirements supplied with the product.
Where Can the 700W Mirror Heater Be Used?
The combination of a larger mirror surface and 700W infrared output makes this model particularly suited to bathrooms, en-suites, bedrooms, dressing rooms, hallways, hotel rooms and other residential or commercial interiors.
It is especially useful where installing a separate mirror and conventional wall heater would occupy more of the available wall space.
Is 700W the Right Output for Your Room?
The correct heater output depends on the actual heat requirement of the room rather than a fixed square-metre coverage figure.
Room dimensions, ceiling height, insulation, glazing, external walls and building construction can all affect the wattage required.

Quality & Safety
UKCA, CE, Rohs, Lot 20 (when used with our smart thermostat)
This Mirror infrared panel heater includes pre-installed brackets for easy wall mounting. As there are no moving parts, there is no maintenance required for our panel heaters. They can be cleaned with a damp cloth when switched off
This 700w panel comes with a 13 Amp 3 pin plug, however we do recommend to hardwire it to your mains via a thermostat and fused spur
Safety
Safety is paramount, which is why our heaters come equipped with advanced safety features such as overheat protection limiting the surface temperature from 75°C to 95°C and compliance with industry standards (CE, UKCA, TüV, GS). You can rest assured knowing that your comfort is our top priority
The tempered mirror means if broken, tempered mirror crumbles into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards like annealed (non-tempered) mirrors. These chunks are less likely to cause injury, which is why tempered mirrors are considered a type of safety mirror

WHERE INFRARED WORKS
Heating designed for
real spaces.
From everyday living spaces to demanding commercial environments,
infrared heating provides a flexible heating solution across a wide
range of applications.
01
Domestic applications
Comfortable, discreet heating solutions designed around
the way you use your home.
Infrared heating works differently from conventional
convection heating. Rather than relying primarily on warming
and circulating the air, infrared transfers radiant heat
directly to people and surfaces within the room.
These surfaces absorb the radiant energy and gradually release
warmth back into the space, helping create a comfortable and
consistent heating environment.
With no fans or forced-air circulation, infrared heaters operate
silently while delivering comfortable radiant warmth into the space.
A modern approach to heating that combines radiant comfort,
individual room control and a discreet, space-saving design.
Efficient Heating
Radiant heat can be directed where it is needed rather than
relying solely on warming and circulating the air.
No Forced Air
With no fans required, infrared heating avoids the continuous
forced-air circulation associated with many conventional systems.
Radiant Comfort
Infrared warms people and surrounding surfaces directly,
creating a comfortable radiant warmth throughout the space.
Individual Room Control
Divide heating into zones so individual rooms or areas can
be controlled according to how and when they are used.
Responsive Warmth
Radiant warmth is delivered directly into the occupied space once
the heater reaches operating temperature, without relying on
forced-air circulation.
Low Maintenance
With no pumps, fans or complex moving components in the heater,
ongoing maintenance requirements are minimal.
Silent Operation
No fans or motors means heating operates silently, making
infrared particularly suited to bedrooms, offices and quiet spaces.
Warms Surfaces
By warming walls and other surfaces directly, infrared can
help keep surface temperatures warmer within the heated space.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions.
Helpful answers to some of the most common questions about
choosing, installing and using infrared heating.
01
How do I calculate what wattage I need?
The heating requirement depends on factors including room
dimensions, insulation, construction and intended use. Use our
Wattage Calculator
to calculate the recommended heating requirement for your space.
02
Can infrared heaters be used in bathrooms?
Certain infrared heaters can be suitable for bathroom
installations. The correct product and IP rating must be selected
for the intended location, and installation must comply with
applicable electrical requirements. Where required, installation
should be completed by a suitably qualified electrician.
03
How much does infrared heating cost to run?
Running cost depends on the heater wattage, your electricity
tariff and how long the heater operates. For example, a 1kW
heater uses 1kWh of electricity when operating continuously at
full power for one hour. Thermostatic controls can cycle the
heater on and off as required to maintain the selected room
temperature.
04
Do I need an electrician to install my heater?
This depends on the heater and installation method. Suitable
plug-in models can simply connect to an appropriate socket.
Hardwired installations, bathroom installations and electrical
connections that form part of the fixed wiring should be
completed by a suitably qualified electrician.
05
Are infrared heaters suitable for homes with children and pets?
Infrared heating is widely used in residential environments,
but heaters can become hot during operation. Every heater should
be installed, positioned and used in accordance with its
instructions, with appropriate consideration given to children,
pets and the surrounding space.
06
Can infrared heating help with condensation and damp?
Infrared heating warms people and surfaces directly, which can
help maintain warmer surface temperatures and may help reduce
conditions that contribute to surface condensation. However,
damp and mould can have several causes, including ventilation,
moisture and building defects, so heating alone should not be
considered a solution to every damp or mould problem.
